What Does CSSD Mean?
The initials CSSD stand for Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. These Registered Dietitians work for a minimum of two years applying evidence-based nutrition knowledge in exercise and sports. They must successfully meet rigorous specialty practice requirements and pass a nationally administered examination every 5 years. They assess, educate and counsel athletes and active individuals. The CSSD is the premier professional sports nutrition credential in the United States.
